I am a 32-year-old female, 5’6″ tall.
I take overall measurements periodically to keep myself on track. I also weigh weekly but try not to let the numbers on the scale carry too much weight (pun intended).
For my height on the BMI scale:
- Severe Obesity is 240+ pounds
- Obesity is 186 – 240
- Overweight is 155 – 185
- Healthy is less than 155 pounds
The graph below represents my weight over the past 15 years. There have been a lot more ups, downs, and plateaus than is evident in this graph, but you get the general picture. Anything above the purple line (so pretty much my whole adult life) is considered morbid obesity. Anything under the red line is considered healthy.
